Police said shortly before 2:30pm on Wednesday, 11 Jan., officers responded to a report of an assault at a service station on Walkers Road.
An off-duty police officer in full uniform had been at the service station when he was approached by a man known to him who made threats against him and assaulted him. A struggle ensued and the man then fled the location.
