Police are investigating a report of a gunshot being fired during a fight at a home in West Bay on Thursday night, 15 June.
In a statement issued on Friday, the RCIPS said shortly after 11:10pm Thursday, officers were called to a residence off Bonneville Drive in West Bay, where three men who were known to each other were involved in an altercation, during which one of the men brandished a firearm at the others and struck one of them with it.
Police said two of the men fled, but reported hearing a single gunshot being fired. The man with the firearm then left the location in a vehicle with another person, they said.
Both men received minor injuries during the altercation, but did not receive any gunshot wounds, according to police.
The matter is under investigation and anyone with any information, or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident, is asked to contact West Bay CID and 949-4222.
