Police have arrested a man suspected of robbing a convenience store in Town Hall Road, West Bay, on Tuesday morning, 24 Oct.

The store had been robbed by a man with a cast on his arm after he threatened a cashier and demanded cash.

In a statement, the RCIPS said officers in West Bay on Wednesday morning had arrested the 43-year-old man, of West Bay, on suspicion of robbing the store.

The man was on court bail at the time of the robbery, so was also arrested on suspicion of breach of a court order and damage to property in relation to the removal of his electronic monitor.

A second man, age 31 of West Bay, was also arrested Wednesday on suspicion of breach of a court order and damage to property, during a related operation, police said.

Both men remained in custody Wednesday evening as investigations continue.
