As Tuesday afternoon turned to evening, high waves were continuing to impact coastal areas along the western side of Grand Cayman, which was hammered by rough seas and high winds overnight.

Waves of up to 15 feet brought high sea surge to coastal areas, wiping out docks and causing severe damage to several waterfront properties.

Cayman Compass reporters and photographers, as well as members of the public, captured some of the scenes of devastation in George Town and West Bay. Here are a selection of those scenes.
