The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service confirmed that the victim of a reported serious assault on Linwood Street in George Town remains in “serious but stable condition” and continues to receive treatment in the hospital.

Anyone with relevant information is urged to report it, either to the George Town Police Station or anonymously.

The RCIPS is appealing to the public to come forward with information after a man was recently sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police said in a statement Saturday that officers had been dispatched to the hospital at 6am, where it was reported that the man was dropped off in a private vehicle after sustaining multiple lacerations.

The man is currently in hospital being treated for life-threatening injuries.

“[The] Investigation suggests that the man was involved in an incident that took place in Linwood Street,” the release said. “He fled the location on foot and sought assistance from a passing vehicle on Shedden Road, who transported him to the hospital immediately.”

RCIPS requests that anyone with useful information contact the George Town Police Station at 949-4222, or report anonymously to the tip line at 949-7777 or online.
