Fabian Sangines has joined the football coaching staff at Academy SC, the club announced earlier this month.
Sangines brings a wealth of coaching experience from across Europe, mainly in Switzerland where he most recently served as an assistant coach for the Under-21 women’s team at FC Zürich, a head coach for the U19 women’s team at FC St. Gallen, and talent manager at BSC YB Women.
“I am honoured to join Academy … and am eager to contribute to the development of our players,” Sangines said, noting that he has been working with the club for the past few months and recognises the administrators’ dedication to nurturing young talent.
“I look forward to working closely with the team and helping each player reach their full potential.”
Sangines, who holds a Conmebol Pro coaching licence, will be responsible primarily for the development of Academy’s female footballers, with tactical training sessions, providing individual attention to players, fostering a strong team spirit and implementing tailored learning plans.

Paul Byles, head of youth development at Academy, expressed his enthusiasm for Sangines’ appointment, noting that he will elevate the coaching standards and enhance the growth and success of Academy’s players.
“His extensive experience and success with top-tier clubs like Young Boys and his commitment to player development align perfectly with our mission,” Byles said.
