Compass Media’s INSPIRE 2024 conference presented by SteppingStones is being held 9 and 10 Oct. This is a preview of the presentation by facilitator and keynote speaker Eric Jenkinson of Ndeavour Consultants.
DAY 1.
TEAM BUILDING FOR COLLABORATION
What are the key elements of a high performing, collaborative team? How would you judge your team? High performing or not? This session will look at some of the main strategies that are needed to achieve a highly collaborative and performing team. In today’s world we often find that we have to manage a multi-generational team of people so we will look at what research shows in terms of what each generational group expects from their leader and what the group’s value propositions may be.
We will look at how highly engaged teams can impact business performance and what type of workplace culture is needed for people to be agile and welcoming of change.
DAY 2.
WHY LEADERSHIP ALWAYS STARTS WITH YOU
During this session we will look at the links between, vision, values, mission and objectives, and how the leader can create a culture where everyone understands how they add value to this.
It is the leader’s role to build and sustain a dynamic culture based on psychological safety and to ensure that their managers behave in a way that supports this.
We will look at the latest research on current marketplace trends in terms of employee mobility and what drives employee fulfilment.
What is the impact on people retention when the leader displays emotional intelligence?
Since the pandemic, many people have changed the way that they think about what their aspirations are for both work and lifestyle, and leaders must recognise this and adjust to what really motivates their employees and themselves.
