
A motorcyclist was fighting for his life on Monday after his machine was in a collision with another vehicle.
Police said the man was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered “critical” injuries after the crash.
Officers on patrol, who had seen the motorcycle “driving dangerously”, gave the injured rider first aid and he was later rushed to George Town Hospital.
The incident happened on Shedden Road, near Printer Way, at about 10pm.
A 20-year-old man, who was driving the other vehicle, was uninjured, but later arrested on suspicion of drink driving and other motoring offences.

He was later released on bail and police said inquiries into the crash continue.
