Liquor store robbed in Bodden Town

Police are investigating the latest in a string of armed robberies.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery at a liquor store on Bodden Town Road, just east of Monument Road, on Friday, 8 April, shortly after 9:30pm.

Two men entered the store with their faces and heads covered. One of the men brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash.

The men then fled east on foot towards the beach, with some cash taken from the register.

No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident, according to a police press release.

Both men were dressed in black and wore masks and gloves.

The armed man was described as about 6 foot tall, of medium build, and wearing a long-sleeved hoodie jacket. The other man was of slim build and about 5’10” in height.

Last week four armed robberies occurred in George Town in the span of two days.

The matter is under investigation and police are asking anyone with any information to contact Bodden Town CID at 947-2220.

    1. There is a significant reward for information.
    2. People are absolutely sure that the information they give anonymously remains anonymous and they will not need to fear reprisals.
    3. Evidence should be given behind a screen with a voice changer.
