The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service repatriated six migrants to the Republic of Cuba on 6 March.

In a press release issued on 13 March, Customs and Border Control said, “The six male migrants were escorted by Customs and Border Control Officers and Prison Officers.

“They departed Grand Cayman on a non-chartered Cayman Airways flight at approximately
12:55pm. This brings the total number of migrants repatriated to Cuba since the beginning of 2026 to 20.”

Customs and Border Control Director Bruce D. Smith expressed his thanks for the support partner agencies in executing another “successful operation”.

Customs and Border Control said there are 24 irregular Cuban migrants currently in the Cayman Islands and additional repatriation flights will be arranged as processing continues.
