Building on the incredible momentum of last year, which saw over 700 participants rally together, this year’s race is set to be RBC’s most impactful yet.
Kendell Pierre, One2One’s board chair, said, “The impact of last year’s race has been nothing short of extraordinary. Seeing our mentoring network grow and hearing the stories of resilience from our youth reminds us that every registration fee and every donation is an investment in a life changed. We are reaching more young people than ever before, and on May 3, we invite all of Cayman to help us keep that momentum going so every child in our program has the opportunity to thrive.”
Small steps, big impact
The funds raised from the 2025 event have already fueled a transformative year for young people across the Islands through our partner, One2One.
Because of the community’s generosity through RBC Race for the Kids, One2One has achieved record-breaking milestones:
- A growing network: The mentoring network has expanded by 22% since 2025, now supporting over 220 youth.
- Empowering every voice: From bi-monthly leadership sessions for the Boys Mentoring Network to the dynamic new Girls Mentoring Group, these programmes are helping teens navigate challenges with confidence.
- Community strength: RBC and One2One partnered with over 10 local businesses to recruit 40 new mentors, proving that when Cayman moves together, our youth soar.
Khadene Lobban, RBC’s Cayman Country Head, captures the spirit of the event: “At RBC, our purpose is to help clients thrive and communities prosper, and Race for the Kids is a collective commitment to ensuring our youth have the guidance and confidence they need to turn their biggest ideas into reality. When we move together on May 3, we aren’t just hitting a milestone—we’re powering the potential of the next generation.”
Why we race
For the young people at One2One, mentorship is the bridge between a challenge and a breakthrough. As one youth mentee recently shared: “Before I joined the programme, I wasn’t sure what my future looked like. Having a mentor who consistently shows up for me has changed everything. I’ve learned that my ideas matter and that I have a whole community cheering me on. This race isn’t just an event; it’s the reason I now have the confidence to chase my dreams.”
Globally, the RBC Race for the Kids initiative has surpassed $100 million CAD for youth charities. Cayman’s continued success highlights our Islands’ leading role in this global movement, ensuring that One2One continues its important work of nurturing youth by providing access to these vital mentorships.
