Premier McLaughlin then proceeded to lay out, in detail, how accurate the Compass’s observations were.
A history of Smith Cove ownership
The northerly part of Smith Cove has been in private ownership since the first official countrywide land survey was conducted in the 1970s. The 2.5-acre plot comprises part of the smaller beach, a rocky outcrop and a grove of seagrape trees.

New Festival Green bridge at Camana Bay takes shape
The six giant beams that will form the backbone of a new bridge at Camana Bay swung into place this week. Using a large crane, Decco, Dart’s development management company, moved the 95-foot beams into place for the new Maris Avenue Bridge, which will connect the central island and Festival Green to the mainland.
