The police station headquarters is not in regular use. Minister Johany Ebanks says it has effectively been condemned and a new station is needed.

A West Bay mother and her two sons have been bailed pending further investigation after a violent encounter at the West Bay Police Station on Tuesday afternoon in which they were pepper sprayed by an officer.

Premier Alden McLaughlin announced Monday that government will be seeking supplementary appropriations for the Cayman Islands Regiment, as well as funding to move the West Bay police station project forward.

Work on moving ahead with construction of a new police station for West Bay is continuing, according to Police Commissioner Derek Byrne.

Police are appealing to the public for help in locating 18-year-old Jamar Radcliffe Ebanks, who has been missing from his West Bay home since Friday morning. Jamar is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall, light brown skin, low cut hair, with a stocky build.
