RCIP welcomes new officers

Fourteen police officers recently joined the RCIP.

The experienced officers hail from throughout the UK, Jamaica and St. Vincent with experiences from six to 16 years in policing, says a press release from the RCIP.

After a brief induction period they were assigned various duties including high visibility policing around the island.

The RCIP is also expecting another 10 experienced officers from Jamaica, Barbados and St. Vincent by 5 December.

These officers will strengthen the establishment of the RCIP with their ongoing efforts to fight crime and share their experiences as well as learn from local officers, the release said.

Welcoming the new officers is Police Commissioner Stuart Kernohan and HRH Insp. D. Lee o/ic Training and Recruitment.
