Super Bowl parties ready to kick off

Having trouble thinking of an idea for Super Bowl Sunday? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Many restaurants and bars are doing something special for Super Bowl night. Here are a few possible choices:

The Lone Star Bar and Grill is having lots of food specials which mimic the food that you could buy at a football stadium. This will allow for an authentic experience. These foods include 25-cent chicken wings, chilli-dogs, and roasted peanuts. There will be drink specials, including special deals on buckets of Corona and Coors Light. There will be 21 TVs, including a projector on the patio and three big screens inside the bar, so you don’t miss a wink of the game. To top the fun off, Coors Light has donated many prizes, so, after every quarter, prizes will be given away.

McCoys will be showing the game on four TVs in the lounge. There will be a taco/chip bar that is complimentary along with 50-cent chicken wings. The regular menu will also be available. Drink specials include Budweiser, Bud Lite and Miller Lite. There will be many give-aways including a barbeque set.

Aqua Beach is having a big party, with lots of food and drink specials, including buckets of Budweiser, Miller Lite, and Bud Lite. They will be playing the game on three huge projector screens and lots of prizes will be given away, including beach equipment, footballs, and a barbeque.

Coconut Joes is showing the big game on two big screens, with drink specials galore. For example, buckets of Miller Lite, Bud Lite, and Budweiser are $12 and shots of Jaeger only $3. They are also serving appetizers off of the menu. There will be football pools going on, and a relay game involving teams of four chugging a beer and spinning around with their heads on a baseball bat.

Fidel Murphy’s is celebrating the Super Bowl from 4pm to 11pm. Buckets of Becks and Miller will be $12.95. Food such as spicy buffalo wings, chilli and cheese nachos and jerked chicken legs will be served. If you want to celebrate the Super Bowl Irish-style, Fidel Murphy’s is the place for you.

George Town

Hammerheads is having a huge Super Bowl party that will last all day. There will be three 20 foot big-screens and at least 10 other televisions, so you can watch the game from wherever you are sitting. There will be food and drink specials, and half time entertainment/games. It is on the water, and there will be a big barbeque, so you can experience the real Caribbean SuperBowl.

Señor Frogs is having a special offer where every beer is $12 per bucket. There will be eight televisions and a betting board, where every square costs one dollar, and you have a chance to win money to spend at Señor Frogs.

Red Bay

Davey Jone’s Locker and Castaways are having a Super Bowl buffet for $13.95. Buckets of beer will be sold. There will be giveaways including an outdoor patio set from Budweiser, two tickets on Cayman Airways and many more. They are having a Quarterback Challenge on their virtual sports machine, you can see if you have what it takes to be number one and win a new cell phone.

Durty Reids is having an all-you-can eat and drink special, with all the booze you could possibly want in one night. The cost is $60 per person and $75 per couple. This lasts from 4pm to 11pm. They are doing their yearly tradition of roasting a pig. So, when you leave you will be full and entertained.

North Side

Driftwood is having a Sunday barbeque with all your favourite Caymanian foods. They will have free jello shots and free conch soup. And, of course, they will be playing the big game.
