Members of the board, management and staff of the Cayman National Group of Companies gathered together to commemorate ‘Cayman National Day’ as they celebrated their 32nd anniversary, which was on 28 January.
During the past four years similar gatherings have taken place with staff participating in the reading of the Cayman National Prayer of Thanksgiving and other messages of homage and allegiance to the Cayman National organization, said a company press release.
This year’s message to mark Cayman National Day was offered by Mr. Stuart Dack, President and Chief Executive of the Group. In his address Mr. Dack welcomed new staff and congratulated others for academic and professional achievements.
‘Since our last Cayman National celebrations much has taken place. In spite of the rush of activities which called for our attention, 2005 was indeed an extraordinary year, yet a very successful year for the entire Group,’ he said.
‘One highlight of the year was the presentation of the 2005 Bank of the Year award by the Banker Magazine to Cayman National Bank, an award which makes us all proud. In this New Year, we have some exciting opportunities to look forward to and wish to thank our loyal shareholders, customers and dedicated staff for their continued support.’
Customers were able to join in the celebrations as staff took time out throughout the day to greet them and to also provide them with the opportunity to become lucky winners of the three door prizes, the release said.
‘Our valued customers are the life blood of this institution and these celebrations provide us with another opportunity to thank them for their continued support,’ commented John Lewis, Manager, Personal Banking & Mortgage Centre.
Judy Watler, Vice President, Premier Banking, and one of the longest serving members on staff added: ‘Having joined Cayman National shortly after its inception, it is my utmost pleasure to continue to be of service to our valued clients.’
According to Claudia Welds, Senior Executive, Corporate Communications, ‘As a team we can all be proud of our heritage as well as the success of the Cayman National organization.
