Police arrested a number of people on suspicion of burglary over the weekend. The following are currently in police custody:
• A 35-year-old man arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of a drug utensil and consumption of a controlled drug
• A 32-year-old man arrested on suspicion of burglary
• A 47-year-old man on suspicion of burglary
Other arrests over the weekend include:
• A 46-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of theft, consuming a controlled drug and possession of a drug utensil
• A 37-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm
• A 39-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol
• A 45-year-old woman on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol
• A 40-year-old man arrested to prevent a breach of the peace
• A 27-year-old man on suspicion of assault causing
• A 30-year-old man on suspicion of assault causing ABH
• A 56-year-old man on suspicion of assault causing
• A 52-year-old woman on suspicion of damage to property and criminal trespass
Over the course of Saturday evening into Sunday morning a number of young people were arrested as a result of various fights occurring on the streets of George Town:
• A 16-year-old on boy suspicion of disorderly conduct
• A 25-year-old on man suspicion of obstructing police and disorderly conduct
• A 19-year-old on man suspicion of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and carrying a prohibited weapon.
