All roads lead to North Side this weekend as football lovers will be entertained with the predictable dazzling performances of defending champions Scholars International against Future as the team gets cracking in the first phase of the defence of their title in the 2007-2008 season of the Cayman Island Football Association (CIFA) Digicel Cup Knock-Out competition this Saturday.
Scholars have been doing well in the Fosters league with 11 points in hand. However, Future with just five points in hand seems to be a walk over for their opponents who will be coming head on to stay in the competition.
Future on the other hand will not lay down dead as these second best teams always find extra strength in these knock-out games and create an upset.
In the curtain raiser at 4:00pm Tigers faces Roma. Roma defeated Tigers 2-1 last weekend in action packed Fosters National League game and may well get the better of Tigers again in this encounter judging on their latest performances.
On Sunday it will be Latinos and Elite doing battle at 4:00pm. Latinos is expected to dismiss Elite but with the injection of Elites full squad of young players who returned recently from Brazil it will be an interesting game.
At 6:00pm East End will meet George Town. This game can go either way as both teams are playing well although East End has been doing exceptionally well since the start of this season’s league games.
This weekend promises to be a weekend to remember football lovers will be treated with a feast of good football.
