KELME USA signed its first-ever sponsorship agreement with the Cayman Islands Football Association, becoming the first official equipment providers of the Association’s new Premier League competition scheduled to kick off next month.
This was announced by CEO and President of KELME Fran Davis at CIFA’s 42nd annual Congress, which was held at the Marriott Resort Hotel on West Bay Road last Saturday before a capacity turnout of member clubs and executive members.
Davis, who arrived on the island to be part of the history and to sign the agreement, in his address to the audience expressed how excited he was in taking on this offer, which was negotiated between his company, President of CIFA Jeffrey Webb and Canover Watson, financial controller of the association.
‘I am grateful for this dynamic opportunity to be partnering with this Soccer Federation: the first of its kind for KELME to do this kind of distribution. We at KELME are very excited and have not taken this partnership lightly, we are looking forward for a long and lasting relationship,’ Davis commented.
Vice President and Head of the Sales Department Jerry Collins was at the congress exhibiting the uniforms and the equipments. He was just as impressed with this first step into marketing the company’s product in the Cayman Islands making mention also of the professionalism of the association and the favourable responses he got from the clubs.
‘I am exited about this partnership, the hospitality was great. I met with the majority of the clubs and the responses were favourable. This is like a pet project being the first sponsorship agreement that KELME has ever signed with any company both in North America and in the Caribbean.
‘I have no doubt that this will be a lasting business relationship between KELME and the Cayman Islands Football Association which will only get better as time goes by.’
