The Mansion opens this week

The Mansion, Cayman’s new luxurious jewellery and timepiece store at the Town Centre of Camana Bay, opens its doors next week.

The conception and delivery of the store by Island Companies Ltd has been years in the making. It is Island Companies’ 30th store, opening in the company’s 30th year.

The company says that Island Companies directors Renard Moxam and John Rea have created a store intended to redefine the luxury jewellery market in Cayman.

The 6,500 square feet store features wide spaces between the showcases creating a relaxed and spacious environment, a feeling emphasised by high ceilings and windows.

Many brands in the store are exclusive to The Mansion, including luxury handmade Swiss watches, such as Parmigiani and Tutima, which produce only a few thousand watches per year.

The watch aficionado’s epic Freak by Ulysse Nardin will also be available for one lucky customer – this is a watch that can take 18 months for delivery from other locations.

Selections of exquisite designer jewellery by the likes of John Hardy and Hearts on Fire diamonds will also be there, together with selections not yet seen on island. There will also be selections of diamond stones and set jewellery, including the fabled Cayman Sun brilliant yellow diamond.
Caymanians will notice a few features of the store paying homage to Caribbean and Cayman culture. The store’s logo of a pineapple has long been a Caribbean symbol of welcome, since Christopher Columbus first brought one back to Europe from Guadeloupe.

The store also pays tribute to the unique design of George Town’s Elmslie Church roof, with a replica of the design taking centre stage in the ceiling.

The grand opening of The Mansion will feature a selection of Hearts On Fire diamonds and Ulysse Nardin timepieces – brought on island especially for the event.

Opened in time for Christmas shopping, the people of Cayman can now shop in style right here on the island.
