Camana Bay’s arts and recreation centre officially opened on Tuesday.

The facilities were officially opened by Cabinet Ministers Mike Adam, Mark Scotland. Rolston Anglin, Cayman International School student Jamie-Lauren McTaggart and Director Jean Caskey, Dart Enterprise’s Mark Vandervelde and Ed Grampp at the Cayman International School site on Tuesday.
The 20,000-square-foot multipurpose facility will be used on a regular basis by Grand Cayman’s organisations, businesses, community and national sports teams.
Cayman International School will use the building during regular school hours; outside of these hours it will be open to the community.
The building has a 2,412-square-foot exterior covered terrace for entertaining.
Indoor facilities include basketball, volleyball and badminton courts; bleachers with seating for more than 400 spectators, women’s and men’s lockers, showers and changing rooms.
There is also a 787-square-foot wood stage, floor space for meetings and events and a fully-equipped kitchen.
During the brief ceremony, the school’s early, elementary and secondary students entertained guests with a number of musicals. Following refreshments, attendees were invited to tour the Cayman International School campus.
