Prison stay champs

Prison
Cricket Club the champions of Cayman Islands Division 1 for the third
consecutive year. Lead by national captain Saheed Mohamed whose leadership has
received many compliments, Prison were undefeated having the last match against
ESSO Tigers as a no result determined by the weekend rains. Mohamed scored an
aggregate of 339 runs which was the most by any player.

He
was well supported by Steve Gordon 336 runs and Gerard Christian 192. Kevon
Bazil was the top bowler with 12 wickets followed by his brother Kevin and
Mohamed with 9 wickets each. In rounding off an excellent season Mohamed took
the most cathes with 12.

In
the weekend matches Police with a late rush looked set to ease pass Greenies 1
for third position behind Prison and By Rite. Police batting first scored 207
runs for 5 wickets with Pearson Best 64 and Abali Hoilett 41n.o. and bowled out
Greenies 1 for 127 runs. Dave Cumberbatch was the most successful bowler taking
4 wickets.

In
Cayman Brac, Greenies Too scored 298 runs and were shocked by an excellent
Cayman Brac batting display. Lead by Steve Coates who scored a brilliant 153
runs, Cayman Brac reached 301 for 8 wickets and victory by 2 wickets. Paramount
DTA defeated Aims Consultants in a reduced match by 14 runs.
