Cayman’s national football team is
off to Puerto Rico to play in the Digicel Caribbean Cup on Thursday and
everyone will be rooting for them. They finished off months of preparations
with two friendlies against top Jamaican club side Humble Lions over the
weekend. Cayman drew 1-1 at the TE McField Annex on Saturday and lost 2-0 on
Sunday. Paul Brown scored Cayman’s only goal, from a penalty.
It was a solid final test for
Cayman who face St Martin on Saturday, Anguilla on Monday and Puerto Rico on
Wednesday. Only the top side in this group round is guaranteed of going through
to the next round. Technical director Carl Brown is confident they can do it.
