Jam-packed Cayman National party

The Cayman National Bank’s annual Home for Christmas event drew a crowd of hundreds to its main office on Elgin Avenue, George Town recently.

Attendees were treated to performances by the UCCI Cayman National steel pan band, a selection of songs from students in the Cayman Academy choir, a Christmas story-telling rendered by 14-year-old Jevaughnie Ebanks and written by UCCI President Roy Bodden, as well as a song from Miss Teen Cayman Leanne Ritch.

Both Cayman National Bank President Ormond Williams and CEO Stuart Dack gave brief addresses.

“This is out eighth annual event, and for us, it’s a very important opportunity for us to give something back to the community,” Mr. Dack said.

Donations of $1,500 each were presented to the Cayman Islands Cadet Corps, the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Cayman programme and Cayman Hospice Care. In addition, $500 was given to the Cayman Academy music department.

The evening was wrapped up by a visit from Santa, who heard the Christmas wishes of dozens of children at the event.
