CIS holds holiday concerts

As
Cayman International School has continued to grow as a school, the fine arts
programme has expanded with additional programmes, courses, and teachers.

The
performing arts students celebrated the holidays in style in front of large
crowds this year with a musical theatre production on 1 and 2 December, and
concerts featuring music of the season on 14 December and 16 December.

The
first event of the season was the school musical, Rented Christmas, performed
by selected students in Grades 3 through 12, on 1 through 2 December.

The
musical was under the direction of Annarie Boor, with musical selections
provided under the direction of Gene Welch.

The
Winter Wonderland music concert on 14 December, organised by the CIS Music Department
team of Dave Richards and Gene Welch, showcased elementary school student
singing groups as well as the CIS High School Choir and the CIS band for an
audience of nearly five hundred people.

The
Early Childhood Holiday Concert on 16 December saw nearly 200 parents, family,
and friends enjoying the holiday music and dances performed by children from
Nursery to PreK 4.
