Grace Christian Academy and Wesleyan Christian Academy students get a close-up look at the Royal Cayman Island Police Service helicopter after it landed at Ed Bush Playing field in West Bay on Friday. Pilot Dave Knight along with Inspector Richard Barrow and school children inspect the insides of the helicopter.
The special treat was part of the day long activities hosted by the the West Bay Neighbourhood Police Officers showcasing Junior Police Academy. At the schools students learned how to take fingerprints, met police dogs, heard what the Marine Unit does and were given road safety tips. They also got the chance to test their marching skills before being presented with Junior Officer badges at the graduation ceremony.
