Local dominoes continues to sport plenty of intrigue.
A pair of matches took place last Sunday in the national domino league. Put on by the Cayman Islands Domino Association, games took place over several hours at local bars.
The first contest saw Island All-Stars play against Singh’s Roti Shop at Mango Tree, with Roti winning by 13 points. The star players were Orville Brown and Sharon Ledgister for Island All-Stars along with Noel Reid and Earl Hill for Roti.
Sunday’s other match pitted a pair of new clubs in the form of Sea Inn and Eastern Star. Sea Inn Bar would see the home team wallop Eastern Star to win by 63 points.
The star players for Sea Inn were Jaime McLaughlin and Kael Leslie while Eastern Star featured Syd Parsons and Matthew McLaughlin.
League play continues this Sunday, 6 November. Team DLK will host Archies on home turf at DLK Bar.
In other news, Little Cayman will stage an informal domino tournament as part of the Pirates Week festivities. That contest is slated for 7.30pm on Friday, 4 November.
