The U.K. Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s overseas territories director is encouraged by the recent opening of the Health City Cayman Islands.
Peter Hayes called the opening of the new healthcare facility “a welcome indicator of the diversification of the Cayman Islands economy.”
Mr. Hayes will be in Cayman next week, on Monday and Tuesday, for a follow-up visit after talks with Premier Alden McLaughlin in London in early February.
“I am delighted to be visiting the Cayman Islands again,” he said. “I am particularly looking forward to discussions with the premier and visiting the Health City.”
In addition to meeting with the premier, Mr. Hayes also plans talks with Attorney General Sam Bulgin and Police Commissioner David Baines and will “call on” a meeting of Cabinet members on March 4. He is also planning to meet with opposition party members, to visit Northward prison, and to tour the Mission House in Bodden Town.
