Where will you be on All Hallow’s Eve?

Halloween is lurking around the shadowy corner so Weekender has rounded up the hottest tickets on island. Dress up in your most fang-tastic costume and get ready to carve out a frightfully spooky time with your friends for a night of ghoulish revelry.

Monster Bash

The Monster Bash is held on the Saturday before Halloween; this year it falls on Oct. 25. Hosted by Treasure Island Resort, in conjunction with Z99 FM, it will take place in the lobby bar area of Treasure Island. DJ Flex is set to spin tunes for the crowd, and prizes will include a one-night stay at Treasure Island, with complementary liquor for the best group costume, as well as prizes for best female and best male costumes. The event is free and begins at 8 p.m.

Vampire Ball

The Vampire Ball starts at 9 p.m. Oct. 31 at the old Hyatt entryway/lot next to Lone Star bar, making it the perfect barren location for a Halloween party. Hosted by the Cayman Rugby Football Union, it is the official after-party and fundraiser for the Women’s 7s International Invitational tournament, and part of the proceeds will go toward league sponsorship and youth programs in the Rugby Union. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Ryan, DJ Royal and DJ Skrelick, with special appearances by musical guests.

The theme is “South Beach Ghoul,” with blood-themed decorations and animatronics provided by It’s Your Party. Cash prizes will be awarded for best male and female costumes (not restricted to vampire theme); there will also be a cash prize raffle. Tickets are $75 and include entry to the tournament during the day, as well as the evening ball, which includes open bar and nibbles. Tickets can be purchased at It’s Your Party, Jacques Scott retail outlets and at the Rugby club or through its members.

Game of Thrones

Presented by Edoardo’s restaurant and RKM Promotions, the Game of Thrones Halloween party takes place on Oct. 31, with the restaurant transformed into a fantasy world depicted by the Emmy-award-winning series of the same name. Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters, such as Lannister, Tarak or Targaryen, and prizes will be given out for best costumes. There will be three DJs in three bars spread out over three rooms; resident Barolo DJ RKM will be on hand to ensure that all genres of music are well represented. Photographers will be capturing party-goers’ dance moves all night long. Admission is $25 and tickets can be purchased at Barolo Lounge inside Edoardo’s. Doors open at 9 p.m.

Royal Palms

Royal Palms will host its first-ever Halloween party on Oct. 31, in conjunction with Spin 94.0 FM, with two ghoulish parts to the evening. The night starts off with “Horror on the 7 Seas,” a two-hour party aboard the happy hour boat, which departs from Royal Palms at 7 p.m. and returns at 9 p.m. Tickets, $35, include an open bar and can be purchased at Beach Bum Water Sports (across from Waterfront Centre in the George Town harbor-front area), or call 949-4420.

After the sail, guests can make their way to Royal Palm’s free Haunted Mansion Party. Hosted by DJ XiXgon, there will be five DJs spinning tracks all evening: DJ LIN and DVJ Carter will hold court with island beats at the beach bar, while Marcel Da Funky Marsupial, Kylo Zacky and John will entertain by the pool lounge, spinning authentic house music. The bar will be decorated in ghoulish fashion and the pool will resemble a lagoon and swamp; drinks specials will be offered.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in their most terrifying finery; the best-costumed couple will receive a prize of two return airline tickets to Montego Bay, Jamaica, while the best solo costume winner will receive one open round-trip ticket to one of Cayman Airways’ destinations. The Haunted Mansion Party is free and open to everyone from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Heaven & Hell Glow Boat Party

Presented by Epic Day Entertainment, the Heaven & Hell Glow Boat Party is set to sail on Oct. 31. DJ Lizzie Curious from London will spin house music tracks all night long, alongside DJ Jonesian and DJ Beatdown. Depending on how naughty or nice you are, you can party in either heaven (upper deck) or hell (middle deck), among clouds or bubbles (courtesy of cloud and bubble machines that will be set up on each deck). Giveaway treats include glow bracelets, glasses and flash rings; party-goers are encouraged to dress up in their most ghoulish costumes. A cash bar will also be available.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the dock (next to Lobster Pot). Advance tickets available at Billy Bones pool bar and the Epic Day Entertainment office at the Strand plaza (contact Sian at 938-2395). The party boat embarks at 8 p.m. and returns at midnight.
