A man was shot dead on Eastern Avenue in George Town just after 9:20 p.m. Saturday.
Police were still on the scene close to the Champion House restaurant just after 10 p.m.
A spokesperson confirmed there had been a shooting.
Paramedics were called but the victim was deceased on scene.
