I really don’t get it. You have a potential environmental problem in what is known locally as ‘Mount Trashmore’ and the Cayman government is looking at whether millions should be spent on cruise piers in George Town harbour.

Far better to spend money clearing the mountain of waste by establishing trash-to-energy systems, increasing recycling and improving waste collection services than to spend it on something that has the potential to add to the environmental problems.

  1. If I remember correctly Dart was going to do this and the citizens of Cayman didn’t want it done in “my back yard”. As for the pier if ships stop coming tell the children of all the newly unemployed taxi drivers store clerks and water sports workers that their parents are not working anymore.
