Customs & Border Control officers seized three firearms from a male passenger arriving from Canada at Owen Roberts International Airport on Saturday, 28 Jan.
The passenger had in his possession a 9mm semi-automatic rifle; a 9mm pistol; and a 12 gauge shotgun.
He was arrested and remains in custody as investigations are ongoing.
Deputy Premier Chris Saunders, the Minister of Border Control & Labour said in a press release, “I commend the actions of the CBC Officers in seizure of these weapons.
“It’s because of their skills and training that they are able to make such finds and continue to protect our borders.”
