Police issue alert over ‘violent and dangerous’ wanted man

Police are trying to track down Christopher Perry Bush who destroyed his ankle monitor while on bail following an arrest for a firearm-related incident.

In a statement issued on Friday morning, the RCIPS described Bush, 32, as “violent and dangerous” and urged members of the public not to approach him but to call 9-1-1 immediately if they see him.

Bush, of Bodden Town, removed and destroyed his Electronic Monitoring System device, police said.

They added, “Mr. Bush is encouraged to turn himself in to the Cayman Islands Detention Centre, or the nearest active police station, at any time, day or night.”

The RCIPS pointed out that, under the Police Law, it is an offence “to obstruct, mislead or act in such a way as to prevent the apprehension of a person who has committed a crime”, and if convicted, a person could face a fine of up to $5,000 or imprisonment for two years or both.
