Smoke seen coming from the George Town landfill on Tuesday afternoon, 10 Oct., was not from a fire, according to the Department of Environmental Health.
“These emissions were the result of the operations of the incinerator located on the same compound,” it said in a press release.
The department assured that the situation has been “assessed and corrected”.
