Police seized a “substantial” quantity of ganja after stopping a car at a checkpoint on Thursday night, 21 Aug.

The RCIPS said officers had detected a “strong scent of ganja” coming from the vehicle when it stopped at the checkpoint on Yacht Drive shortly after 9:40pm.

When the officers conducted a search of the vehicle and its occupants, they recovered multiple packets of suspected ganja.

The occupants of the vehicle, a 22-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both residing in West Bay, were taken into custody.
