Alcohol sales, as well as dancing and music, will be prohibited on Good Friday as Cayman observes the Easter holiday.

The Liquor Licensing Board, in a statement this week, reminded holders of liquor, music and dancing licences of the holiday restrictions.

Ahead of Good Friday on 3 April, alcohol must cease to be served 10 minutes prior to the end of a licensed establishment’s permitted hours, on Thursday, 2 April, the board said.

The selling of alcohol is strictly prohibited on Good Friday, except for “hotels and restaurants with the appropriate licenses are exempted”, the board noted.

Liquor stores and gas stations will not be permitted to sell alcohol throughout Good Friday.

As for music and dancing licence holders, from 11.59pm on Thursday, all music playing and dancing must stop. Exemptions to these restrictions apply to hotels, restaurants, airports and port areas.
