The Security Centre was unsatisfied with the state of mobile surveillance towers on the market, so it built a new one. That innovation, the Mobile Advanced Security Tower – MAST for short – was deployed at the Super Bowl in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this month as part of the event’s surveillance operations.

The Security Centre Limited visited the annual ASIS conference in Dallas, Texas, last month and stood out with a new innovation. Security Centres International, the international branch of the Cayman Islands company, introduced a product line that included a blast protection system, a mobile video surveillance tower, and a new 3-D printed carbon fiber drone called the Aegis Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service announced Monday that foul play is not suspected in the death of a Security Centre guard who was found unresponsive at Eden Rock in George Town last month.

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is waiting for an autopsy to be performed on Melito Fernandes, The Security Centre guard who was found dead at Eden Rock in downtown George Town on Wednesday.

Melito Fernandes, a 37-year-old senior supervisor from The Security Centre, was found dead in the vicinity of Eden Rock by the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service early Wednesday morning.

In response to recent robberies in Grand Cayman, The Security Centre is offering free weekly training sessions at the Cayman Technology Centre on personal safety, robbery training, situational awareness and threat identification.

Patti Jane Ebanks, a former employee of Security Centre Ltd., pleaded guilty in Grand Court on Monday to stealing $420,281.24 from the business. The theft occurred between April 1, 2010 and June 1, 2013.

Digicel will join The Security Centre as an anchor tenant in the Cayman Technology Centre in January 2017.
