Cayman Brac’s Faith Hospital has received a welcome gift from Cayman National.
A donation from the bank will go towards making exterior repairs and improvements to areas of the hospital damaged by Hurricane Paloma.
‘The donation by the Cayman National Bank is indeed very timely,’ said Dr. Srirangan Velusamy, Consultant Surgeon and Medical Officer in charge of Faith Hospital.
‘The renovation project is almost finished and with this donation the external painting for the entire building will complete the project. This is a perfect example of how a public and private partnership can enhance the vital services of our community,’ he said.
Faith Hospital serves the residents of both Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. The 18-bed facility has a highly trained and professional staff of physicians, nurses, and support staff which make it an important entity to the Sister Islands. The Cayman National officials attending the presentation were given a tour of the hospital.
“I am extremely pleased that Cayman National is sponsoring the repainting of Faith Hospital,’ said Branch Manager of Cayman National Bank’s Cayman Brac and Little Cayman offices Zanda Scott.
‘The Cayman Islands Health Services Authority has spent a tremendous amount renovating Faith Hospital and as a Cayman Bracker I am proud that our organization is able to assist the people of the Sister Islands,’ she said.
