Trust hosts Easter auction

The Little Cayman District
Committee of the National Trust for the Cayman Islands is hard at work
preparing for its 18th annual Easter auction.

The event will take place at the
Little Cayman National Trust House next to the Booby Pond Nature Reserve on Saturday,
3 April.

Bidding on items in the silent
auction will begin at 4pm, with the live auction items going under the hammer
at 7.30pm.

Funds raised through the event will
be set aside for the purchase of land and to support future programmes in
Little Cayman.

This annual auction, the major
fundraiser for the Little Cayman District, draws participation from all three
islands. Peter Hillenbrand will serve as auctioneer assisted by some of Little Cayman’s
most charming ladies.

“Items for auction, donated by
local individuals, Little Cayman visitors and businesses from all three
islands, include everything from home accessories to handmade jewellery to
original artwork,” said Debbi Truchan, head of the Little Cayman District

“Everyone who walks through the
door finds something of interest, especially among the generous gift
certificates from Cayman Islands businesses. A children’s table allows our
young friends to enjoy bidding without competition from adults,” she continued.
