The first winner of Digicel’s
Special Delivery summer promotion is Stanley Pearson.
The local businessman and long-time
Digicel customer learned of his good fortune on 30 July in a phone call telling
him he was one of five finalists and should await the result at his home.
“I was actually returning home from
work when I saw a lot of Digicel balloons and a large gathering of Digicel representatives,”
said Mr. Pearson.
“I saw the cheque with my name on
it and it was then that I knew that I was the winner.”
A businessman who owns a
landscaping business, Mr. Pearson joined Digicel just after Hurricane Ivan in
2004, the same year that Digicel launched in the Cayman Islands. Stanley won US$10,000 in the Digicel Special
Delivery promotion by buying prepaid top-up.
The company is offering two more
opportunities to win US$10,000, on 20 August and 10 September.
