Drug suspects charged

Police have charged five men with drug offences following the seizure of 785 pounds of ganja last week.

All five men have now been charged with possession of drugs, importation of drugs, possession with intention to supply and being concerned in the importation of drugs.

Police made the arrests on Tuesday, 1 November, following a pursuit at sea. Police also seized the Jamaican canoe the suspects were travelling in.

The five men are expected to appear in court today, Monday, 7 November.

  1. Good news. Congratulations to the police for this capture and arrest. I hope those arrested will be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law and it will hopefully be some deterrent to others that may be like minded.

  2. Reference the comments on Danny’s post: how can anyone (let alone 10 people) disagree with him, for heaven’s sake? If these disagreers can string a few words together, I invite them to say why they disagree.
    These drug smuggling criminals rank highly among the people who are rapidly assisting in the disintegration of Cayman as a decent, functioning society.
