Sharks hunt Gamebirds

Cayman’s top roller hockey team are on the attack again.

The Club House Sharks are in focus on Tuesday, 17 April, in the 2012 national roller hockey league. The league leaders, who are 7-1, face the third ranked Gamebirds at 9.10pm at Kings Sports Centre.

The Sharks are dominating on both ends with a league-best 56 goals scored and a league-low 36 goals allowed. Netminder Scott Hughes is the top goalie with a league-best 82.6 save percentage to go with 132 saves and 23 goals allowed.

Tuesday’s contest figures to be a high-scoring affair as four of the top five scorers will be in action. The Sharks sport league leader Rob Rintoul (a competition-high 12 assists and 14 goals) and Dan Etherington (a league-best 17 goals and two assists). Brendon Malice leads the Gamebirds with 11 assists and 10 goals while Eric Mildenberger has 14 goals and six assists.

Aside from the Sharks-Gamebirds match, Tuesday also sees the High Rollers against the Spartans at 8.10pm.
