The Leo Club of Grand Cayman is on the lookout for Miss Teen Cayman contestants.
The pageant takes place Saturday, 31 August, at the Lions Centre.
Application dateline for the pageant has been set for 17 May and sponsorship deadline is June 14. A meet and greet event is set for June 8 at Governor’s Square ballroom.
The Miss Teen Committee and the Leo Club of Grand Cayman explain the following requirements that are needed to enter the miss teen pageant.
Contestants must provide a recent academic report, three letters of reference, a written essay with minimum of 500 words and command of oral and written communication skills.
Entrants also need to submit a completed application form signed by a parent or guardian, a fee of $50, which is non-refundable, a recent passport photo, police certificate, proof of Cayman citizenship, be 15 to 17 years of age, not a reigning title holder and perform 10 hours of community service.
Each contestant must seek their own sponsorship of $2,750. Additional expenses the sole responsibility of contestant, parents or guardian.
On the night of the pageant each contestant must perform a talent, make an appearance in swimwear, casual and formal wear.
Entrants, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the orientation where contestants will receive a calendar and a handbook on what to expect from now through the night of the pageant.
