Police arrested a 22-year-old West Bay man early Thursday morning in connection with the killing earlier this month of Victor Oliver Yates.
The man was arrested in what the RCIPS described as a “pre-dawn proactive police operation,” involving armed officers, detectives, the K9 unit and the police helicopter. A number of premises were searched during the operation, police said.
The arrested man, whom police did not name in a brief statement released Thursday morning, is currently in custody at George Town Police Station.
Mr. Yates, 22, was shot and killed in West Bay on Saturday, Jan. 3.
