By Rite’s invincibility under captain Troy Taylor was shattered last weekend when Greenies provided the first major upset of the season by defeating the defending champions. Greenies, batting first, made 200 with contributions from Alister Ifill 57 and Kevon Bazil 37. By Rite was limited to 162 thanks to excellent bowling from Ifill, Kevin Bazil and Neil Coley. Greenies won by 38 runs.
SOL Tigers had an early finish, defeating Police by 8 wickets. Corey Cato and Gregory Smith took 3 wickets each, as SOL Tigers restricted Police to only 124 runs. Ramon Sealy and Bruce Jalim led the runs chase for the Tigers.
Although at the losing end, By Rite still maintain the lead in Division 1 on 60 points, followed by Greenies on 49.5 points.
It was a double success for the SOL teams as following the success of SOL Tigers, the Cubs defeated Greenies Too by 59 runs. In the other match, Mango Tree was successful against Schools by 38 runs.
The Panthers have started to roll again as big hitters Desrene Cox and Carneth Thomas recorded 50s against Greenies. Panthers, batting first, scored 169 runs for 3 wickets and limited Greenies to 89 for 6, winning by 80 runs.
