Boatswain Bay Presbyterian Bible camp closes with ceremony

Some of the vacation Bible school USA team members receive their certificate of appreciation from Esther Rivers.

The Boatswain Bay Presbyterian Church celebrated the closing of its annual Vacation Bible School on Friday, transforming the church to look like a cave.

During the first week of August, more than 90 children participated each day in the school, with the theme of “Cave Quest – Following Jesus, the Light of the World.”

According to the church, 14 Vacation Bible School team members came from the United States to help with the program, joined by 25 local teens and adults.

The closing ceremony Friday evening hosted parents, friends and family at the church.
