Jordan Telford has pleaded guilty to causing an accident which claimed the life of Shemiah Grant in May 2021.
Telford, 39, of West Bay, appeared before Grand Court on Friday, 3 March, at which time he entered a guilty plea to a single count of causing death by dangerous driving.
The guilty plea comes after Telford’s lawyers requested the matter be adjourned so they could secure independent crash scene reports.
The charge stems from a collision which occurred along North West Point Road, in the vicinity of Coral Gables, shortly after 8:30pm.
Grant, 31, also of West Bay, was riding a motorcycle when he was struck by Telford, who was driving in the opposite direction.
A social inquiry report and victim impact assessment has been ordered ahead of the 28 April sentencing. A psychiatric report, which has been ordered by the Summary Court for an unrelated matter, is to be provided to the Grand Court for consideration.
Telford has been released on bail.
