Swanky Kitchen Band to headline SONA+C show at ARC

Swanky Kitchen Band

The Songwriters of North America and the Caribbean organisation will be hosting a launch show at the Arts & Recreation Centre in Camana Bay on Saturday, 9 Sept., with Swanky Kitchen Band as the headlining act.

Designed to shine a spotlight on local songwriters and performers, while supporting their ambitions to be heard by a larger audience in the international market, SONA+C is a newly-created non-profit, based in Cayman, and is the Caribbean chapter of SONA.

Doors will open at 6pm, with the show starting at 7pm, featuring the likes of Jason JG Gilbert, Ben Hudson, James Geary and Henry Smith performing for the audience, before Swanky Kitchen Band takes to the stage. The family-friendly event will be alcohol-free, with nibbles and soft drinks, including delicious cups of Swanky (sans rum).

The event is a fantastic opportunity for local songwriters to network with Cayman’s musicians and visiting executives from abroad, while giving fans a wonderful night of live music.

Tickets are $25 for adults 18 and older; $10 for children 12-17 years old; and free for under-12s. They can be bought online at www.ticketsplus.ky. There will also be raffle tickets on sale at $25 each; three for $65; or five for $100. The prize is a week’s stay for two in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hills Hotel with roundtrip tickets on Cayman Airways included, as well as two tickets to the 2023 SONA Warrior Awards at 1 Hotel West Hollywood on Sunday, 29 Oct.
