Businessmen offer reward increase in shooting

Two Bodden Town businessmen seek to double the $20,000 reward now being offered for information in the shooting of a gas station clerk.
Medsadie Connor, 57, was shot in the knee and shoulder on 13 July across the street from where she worked at Lorna’s Texaco in Bodden Town.
Mrs. Meddie, as she is known, is still recovering in hospital from her injuries.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
Texaco station owner Osbourne Bodden and Bob Watler of Watler’s Metal Products wrote to Police Commissioner David Baines Wednesday night offering to increase the reward in Mrs. Meddie’s shooting to $40,000.
Mr. Bodden asked for others in the business community to pitch in if they could.
