CIS celebrates 10th birthday

Cayman International School celebrated 10 years with a special assembly on Wednesday.

Parents gathered with students, former students and faculty to celebrate with a slide presentation, activities, music and special performances from students.

Anthony Mammon, a representative of International School Services, which governs Cayman International School, brought greetings from the headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey. He reminded the school of how it had shared in common experiences and risen above the challenges to become much stronger. He said he was thankful for their accomplishments.

Cayman International School was opened in the Faulkner Academy Building by former Cayman Islands Governor Bruce Dinwiddy with only 60 students. Today, the school at Camana Bay hosts some 460 students.
